We went camping again. The food we made was pretty bad, so no food pics, although we ate some awesome galantine, which we didn't make nor took a picture of.

The camp site we were staying at was the worst we've ever seen. The sites were not level and full of glass shards. There were no showers, and only chemical toilets, and the only water available stank like something terrible. Our neighbor campers seemed to be enjoying themselves alright though -- one family projected their favorite Playstation games onto a big sheet and played them at full volume, and the group of Indians started their day with lots of shouting and laughing at 5:30. For anyone thinking of going camping in the Catskills: avoid Hide-a-way campsite in Phoenicia!

Nonetheless, we had a great time.

Bob Treman

No camping this weekend due to rain on Friday. So we decided to just go to Bob Treman park in Ithaca.






Oh... for those of you wondering... it's true, we are a bit like camels: We only eat in the weekend.

Frans doesn't like mango...

...but it was in there with the carrots and ginger anyway, and Frans loved it.

Ugly Dutch head

Our Dutch background reared its ugly head: we added boiled potatoes to whatever was in the fridge... smoked trout in this case.

Plagiarism is the sincerest form of flattery: the idea for this sandwich comes from Anke's lunch at the Carriage House, but -- man, with our own smoked turkey and homemade apple chutney, it was way better than the original.

We had a craving for Pringles. Walking to the shop was too much work.
