Köttbullar

Köttbullar

Last week we ate meatballs three days in a row. Besides the köttbullar pictured above, kefta with lemons, and kefta with cherries (kliekjes from way back when).

Kefta

And yes, I still hate Ikea.

Finish the story

As Anke left home today to ride her bike to university, she passed two little girls in the street in front of the house. One gave the other a little nudge, and then the other:

(a) said to her "Sie sind cool!"

(b) vomited onto a plate, see the photo above.

Please leave your guess as to how Anke's day was made unforgettable in the comments.

Pork

Pork

We had a strange craving for pork after a week of healthy middle eastern foodz --- I will put up some pictures of the food in Qatar soon. We therefore roasted this nice piece of pork so that it had a wonderful crispy skin.

Pork

It made for a great meal, together with some vegetables and Spätzle.

Veggies

And yesterday we made another large batch of the usual kefta.

Wednesday Turkish and Moroccan Day

Wednesday we started the day off by channeling our inner-Tuncay:

For dinner we went all Ghillie Bhasan. Instead of just dumping the food on the plate like we normally do, we tried to channel our inner-Ellen and failed --- although it looks nicer than what we normally produce!

We even bought some baklava for dessert.

We wish that we had Turkish bakers in Ithaca.
