Sinterklaas!
But first some delicious Dutch food: hutspot with klapstuk!

Look at how A serves the hutspot with so much love (sadly I cannot come up with a translation for "hoe A het eten op het bord kwakt"):

And then finally the moment was there: Sint had arrived in Beijing, and he is here to stay!

Last throes
Dear readers of this blog,
In this short posting,
we'd like to do some boasting,
look at these stats:
we have more visitors than the NY Mets!

Each year we see the same phenomenon;
people are ripping off Anke's Sinterklaas poem.
(And not because she's so good at rhyming.)

Actually, the news is not all good,
for instance, this post is not about food.
Also, our old website is in its last throes,
Cornell is bringing our accounts to a close.
But we want to wish you all a happy Sinterklaas,
with many presents, marzipan and speculaas.
We just wanted you to know that we are still celebrating this quaint feast,
even though we are way away in the East.
If one last look at Anke's famous poem you want to throw
to http://people.cornell.edu/pages/fms9/gedicht.html you should go.
