Nishiki Food Market

Nishiki Food Market

Nishiki food market is the best place in Kyoto! Great food and beautiful ingredients are everywhere!

Katwijk aan Zee and Wassenaar

We went to Lies, and did some sightseeing. On Saturday we went to Katwijk aan Zee:

Backlog: Last week(end)

I bet everyone is very interested to know that last weekend we had stone-oven baked pizza and bitterballen in Sanlitunr.

Bitterballen in Beijing

Actually, yesterday we also ate bitterballen, but this time in the expat-heaven called Shunyi. We were quite surprised to be allowed into Shunyi district without the requisite gaggle of noisy blond children. Also, we will most likely never go back there again because we don't like noisy blond children.

We also cooked at home a few times recently. Made the old "so-good" roasted red peppers with feta and preserved lemon and, when Frans was suffering from what we hope was H1N1, home made tomato-pepper soup.

Finally, a picture taken from the cab last weekend.

Oh, and then there is this photo, which was already posted earlier. Frans received an email last week that his presence is requested at the award ceremony of the photo competition to which he submitted this photo. So exciting!!!
Although we're a bit disappointed that there are 400 finalists and only 50 people will actually win anything.
