Another great one

Untitled

F came to visit me in Billsburg this weekend. We had another great weekend, with a great concert in Friday by Cory Henry, beautiful spring weather for a bike ride and barbecue and smoking in the garden, and we spent a lot of time on this crazy-hard puzzle that friends from Cornell have given us.

Occasionally, it was fun to work on the puzzle.

Lucky me, it is not yet done. So I get to enjoy having this on the dining table for another few weeks untl F returns to finish it. It is about 60% done now, and at my current rate of 6 pieces this will mean another 65 days or so to finish it!

Perfect Weekend

Little Washington

This weekend we managed to combine everything we like into one trip. We went to "Little" Washington in Virginia, where Michelin has given one of the local restaurants two stars. We did not go to that restaurant, but somehow this means that there is a amalgamation of good restaurants in that neighborhood. We had some incredibly good food, with interesting wine pairings.

Breakfast

We slept in a friendly bed and breakfast, serving good breakfast.

And then we went on a serious hike (that we have done before): Old Rag Mountain.

After Cuban food in Richmond, we then went to a concert where Philip Glass and four other pianists played Philip Glass's Etudes. A really perfect weekend.
