Stinkpoes

... or the incredibly short adventures of the incredibly stinky feline.

On our way home from Boulud, we noticed Stinkpoes at the side of the road near our house. Drunk and kind-hearted as we were, we decided to get a box from our apartment and take this little critter home. The poor thing seemed to die as we were standing there, but it decided to purr and lift its head at the crucial moment when we were about to walk off.

That evening in our drunken stupor it seemed like the cat was doing well. It followed Anke around the house and of course reminded us a lot of b.t..

The next morning we woke up with a hangover and a stinking feline. The worms coming out of its head told us it was most definitely dying. Also the fact that it stank to high heavens and kept falling over made us think that it wouldn't have a long and fruitful life with us. So we turned over and slept some more.

When we were finally ready to face the day, and the demise of our stinky friend, we contacted Amanda to help us find a vet. (I.e. we sent her some very panicky emails and SMS's.)

In conclusion, team Franke 1, cruel cruel nature, also 1. Stinkpoes, may you be stinking up the eternal hunting fields. We will be missing you, but not your smell (we scrubbed very very hard to get rid off it in our apartment)!

We're back!!

We are very sad to say that b.t. has left the building. So sad in fact that we haven't posted for over 2 weeks. We did eat though.

This is what we had on Nov 24 after having said goodbye to b.t.

Frans turned his grief into some pretty tasty ratatouille:

Obligatory turkey:

And as an added bonus:
Emma and b.t., BFF!

Pizza!

Also, what today ate b.t.:

Special Mix, 3 irresistible flavors, irresistibly fun, loaded with lots of fun shapes, so b.t. never gets bored.

Meet b.t.

No, we didn't start a Chinese restaurant. Also, b.t. has no meat to speak of.

b.t. (short for Banana Tourist --- ask Anke for the correct pronunciation, she is adamant about this) came by our house Sunday night, while we tried to get rid of the cooking smells. She (?) is very skinny, very sweet, very dirty, and seemingly very tired: she hardly reacts to anything at all.
